We had a fleet of 10 show up on the starting line for the event.  There were several new participants in the class for the event.  Weather conditions on Saturday were sunny and 75 degrees with 8 to 10 knots out of the north.  Maintaining boat speed upwind through the sloppy three foot waves, carving the way downwind and picking the way through the back end of the large Laser Radial fleet was the challenge for the day.  Mark Allen put on a clinic  by continually hammering the right side of the course and led the fleet with 5 bullets for the day.

Sunday weather conditions were a bit more exciting with sunny skies, 73 degree temperatures, winds of 10 to 15 knots out of the north with solid 4 foot waves.  Powering through the waves and finding the surf downwind was the winning answer.  The right of the side of the course played out again.  Jason Breeden made the most of the conditions by placing first in two of the three races.  He would have had three bullets if not for a rouge wave getting the best him on one of the downwind legs in race 2.  Many others had a ceremonious splash compliments of the erratic wave patterns.

Congratulations to Mark Allen on his victory and Jason Breeden on battling back into second on a tie breaker with two bullets on the day.  All had a great time and hopefully were able to improve their game.  Thank you to all who made the trip from out of town.  Hope to see you back next year.  Those who could not make it this year will surely want to get the event on the schedule for next year.
