NOTICE OF RACE
2010 HogWild Regatta
1. Invitation
Sandusky Sailing Club (SSC) invites you to participate in the 2010 HogWild Regatta August 28-29, 2010 in Sandusky, OH. www.sanduskysailingclub.org
2. Rules
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the 2009Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of US Sailing, this Notice of Race, and the Sailing Instructions for each regatta. In the event of a conflict between the Sailing Instructions of an individual regatta and this Notice of Race, the Sailing Instructions shall govern.
3. Eligibility
The Series is open to all fleets and classes. Each class must have 4 boats to constitute it’s own start. Open to, but not limited to, J24s, T 10’s, Force 5’s, Thistles, Interlakes, PHRF, JAM, Cruising, etc.
4. Entry Fee
$25 on site
5. Schedule and Sites
The regatta will be hosted by the Sandusky Sailing Club, and sailed on Sandusky Bay. Sandusky Sailing Club, 814 East Water St, Sandusky, OH. Boat launch can begin Friday after 12:00 PM.
6. Racing
Five (5) races are scheduled for the regatta. However, should circumstances allow fewer race, as few as one (1) race may be used to decide the outcome of the regatta
7. Scoring
Method for Series Scoring. Scoring will be determined by the low point scoring system, RRS Appendix A, as modified herein.
8. Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place boats.
9. Merchandise
HogWild hats and t-shirts will be available for purchase at SSC. Limited quantities available.
10. Schedule of Events
Friday – Boat launch can begin at 12:00 PM at your own supervison. All boat must be in the water by 1000 Saturday August 28th.
