What: Casual weekly Portsmouth rum race every Wednesday evening. 
Start between 6:20 and 6:30 between preset marks, round #8 channel mark to starboard and finish at start. Total distance about 2 miles. Keep your elapsed time and report at Wolfy’s Tavern afterwards along with drinks and food. 
Easy shallow water ramp launching close to starting area. (See  No need to preregister.  Displacement sloops, various single and double-handed planning mono-hulls and a multi-hull or two are among those competing under Portsmouth handicapping.  No RC on-water.  Lake is 6’-7’ deep.  4 to 12 knot winds prevalent with chance of thunderstorms in summer. 
There has not been cancelled race in years.  No limit to number of times you may come as guest.  Annual membership is $100.  No camping area exists, but plenty of parking for RVs.  Free guest accommodation on trawler available with advance notice.
