You'll note that I said Indianapolis Raceway park, Not Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Indy Raceway Park plays host to the NHRA Drag Racing Nationals every year (or at least they used to). Although many would argue that the Indy 500 is just a... Sep-26-13 06:33:27

I think that's a stretch since the class isn't hosting the event. I look at it as the class sponsoring the event just like Weeks, GLMO or Layline. No one is going to sue them. Besides insurance isn't going to help much when serving... Dec-17-14 18:07:01

Interesting idea but lots of load on the chrome-plated cast zinc bow handle and its small fasteners. Harken 447 dinghy vang (reduced to 12:1) is a cleaner (but more $$) approach that allows free mast rotation. Jul-14-14 17:13:22

I'll tell you what I know. A slick, well-polished boat is easy to maintain. That's why I do it. I use PTEF on the bottom and 3M Marine Paste Wax on the deck....has good UV filters and such. Being as I don't walk on the deck due... May-23-16 06:48:32

2007 Midwinters in Key Largo was my last capsize. That makes 10 National Regattas without going over. John Stahl will tell you I came really close at the 2012 NAs in NC. I gybed to port in about 15mph breeze. The boat jumped wildly from side to... Jul-04-13 12:24:24

Actually the range was more like 10 deg to 20 deg as I discovered a flaw in my calculations. I've asked a couple of racers to do the cardboard tracing drill to confirm the revised figures. Feb-21-16 19:07:25

"I was just wondering if there is any reason to implement such a change? easier to rig etc." if it aint broke why would you want to fix it. KISS is always the best rule in rigging. Dec-17-13 12:36:18

You should come to Lake Hartwell for our Hospice Regatta 10/16 - 10/18 so we can really test that out for you! I like the idea of getting rid of those damn delrin balls. Oct-05-15 07:57:17
