On fiberglassing the rudder head. I suggest sanding off all of the varnish to get to bare wood. Only sand to about 120 grit so the epoxy resin can adhere well. I used West Systems and woven mat to do the work in the pictures below. Standing it... Oct-14-19 09:56:47

For those who have the Right-On trailers you will soon find out the paint has a lot to be desired - or not - depending on how you read that. I have repainted the area under the bow twice now and have a thought for you. Keep in mind I sail... Jul-28-19 14:11:19

I'd advise to get a Cullen short rig sail. Then you simply remove the top section, fashion a cap for the top of the mid section and you're good to go. Makes it so you can use the same mast pieces for both sails. :) Jul-18-19 06:30:51

Just a heads up on the Force5 facebook page - fun with historic photos! With only 4 to 5 years with you all - I have barely a clue. Just leads to my admiration for all the time you all have spent together! Thanks Chris - good stuff Jun-29-19 17:15:58

Probably a safe bet. Lots of people use Awlgrip for spars, but again, the extreme mast bend thing. Good ol' rattle-can Rustoleum is a low-cost risk factor. :) Apr-22-19 06:58:08
